Drunk Driving Prevention

Drunk Driving Prevention

Impaired driving will affect one in three Americans in their lifetime. Approximately 42,000 people die in motor vehicle crashes each year, about 16,000 of these are alcohol - related. Just one drink can decrease a persons ability to react quickly. There is no quick fix to metabolizing alchohol. Neither coffee or a cold shower will sober you up. There are alternatives to impaired driving.

  • Don't drink and drive
  • Designate a sober driver before you party
  • Take a taxi or call a safe ride program
  • Make arrangements to spend the night where you are
  • Buckle up. A seatbelt is your best defense against a drunk driver
